Checking in ... COVID-19
I hope you and yours are all well in these trying times. With the corona virus on the rise, I -- along with the rest of the acupuncture and Chinese herbal practitioner community -- continue to assess the roles that our practices can play at this time. The following is an outline of decisions made so far at Body Politic Acupuncture & Herbs. These may change at any time as facts on the ground change. Safety is our primary concern: 1. If you are coughing, sneezing, vomiting or have diarrhea, a cold or fever, please cancel your appointment and schedule an online herbal consultation in stead. We have many of the formulas and herbal components that have been used in China to treat and prevent COVID-19. By video chat, we can provide you with dietary and herbal recommendations delivered to your door to help you get back on track. We can also work with you if you experience none of these symptoms, but are staying home. 2. Due to cancellations, we are meeting with only 8 clients this week at 32 Court Street. Given the very low volume and given that we are open only 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), we plan to continue to support our clients in-person for now. 3. Cleaning procedures have been adapted to include the frequent use of medical grade virucidal cleaning agent on all regularly touched surfaces (doorknobs, tables, etc). Hand sanitizer is available in the waiting room. And as always, cleanliness is a top priority within the treatment room. Please stay tuned in the coming weeks for:
- Tips on how you can use dietary and herbal therapy to stay strong and prevent disease based on your constitutional type.
- Introductions to new team-members.
- Details on our big move to provide community acupuncture!
In the meantime, one of the best ways to keep your system strong and prevent disease is acupuncture and herbal/dietary therapy. Schedule a treatment online or in person or schedule a free initial consultation. And please feel free to call or respond to this email if you have any questions or concerns, or if you need help deciding whether to come in for your appointment. Sincerely, Mona Eldahry, LAc, DACM
